Simple Things.

Tonight my husband and my father in law gave my son and myself priesthood blessings.  We then proceeded to get ready for bed and there is such a tender feeling in our home tonight.  There is such a sweet spirit here and the demeanor of both my children directly reflects the spirit felt in our home this night.  It's not much, but my heart is so full this evening and I am so thankful for these times when, even if only for a short time, we all experience peace and joy in our little family.  Earlier this evening, we were talking about my sister in law who has her second chemo treatment this week.  She lost the rest of her hair yesterday and my heart melted and there was such a sweet spirit when her nine year old son said how great her wig looks.  I am so grateful for these moments when I feel the spirit so strong.

Lindsey, Im so sorry to hear about your sister in law. I just had a best friend that went through cancer treatments and it is not easy. But what a blessing the Gospel is in times like those where we a greater knowledge of things and we know that everything happens for a reason. What a blessing the priesthood is also. I hope everything goes well for your sis-in-law. Im sure you are a great strength to her!
